Your Good is So Good – Romans 8:28

I’m so excited to share the song I wrote recently! “Your Good is So Good” is based on Romans 8:28.

✝️ Romans 8:28 says, “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” Romans‬ ‭8‬:‭28‬ ‭ESV‬‬

❤️I’ve always loved and believed this Romans 8:28! But there have been times I’ve wondered why certain situations turned out the way they did and thought, “God, You promised all things would work together for good, and this doesn’t seem good.” But I am learning that we can always, without question, trust His definition of good. From here on out, if his definition of good is different than mine, I’m going to do my best to trust His!

🥰 As always, I would love to hear your feedback, and if the message in this song resonates with you, please share this video!

🎸Side Note: I changed my piano to a guitar setting when I recorded the accompaniment, because that’s how I kept hearing it in my head!

Your Good is So Good

New Song: Jesus, Here’s My Broken Heart 🎵

I would love to share a new song with you. And I just have to share this too: I wrote it in less than two hours. (For me, that’s crazy! Songs usually take me much, much longer to finish.) I almost felt like God just dictated the words and the music, and I wrote it down! It was something I will never forget!!

If you listen to this song and it touches you, it would mean so much to hear from you! Maybe you can relate…I feel a little vulnerable after writing songs and blog posts and putting them on the internet for anyone to hear/see, so it is a huge encouragement to hear feedback!!

I truly hope you are blessed by this song and these facts: we are immeasurably loved by God and He wants to heal our broken hearts. He is just so good.

Lyrics: Another sunrise, another opportunity. But Lord, You know that lately it’s been hard to see Your light through the darkness and Your peace in the world’s mess. Oh, Jesus, won’t You help me

Jesus, here’s my broken heart. I place it in Your hands. And when I try to take it back from You, help me to trust Your flawless plans – even when I don’t understand.

This burden’s heavy and I am feeling weak. Seems like the world’s noise tries to drown out the words You speak. You promise comfort. You promise rest. Oh, Jesus, won’t You help me?

Jesus, here’s my broken heart. I place it in Your hands. And when I try to take it back from You, help me to trust Your flawless plans – even when I don’t understand.

You’re the only One who truly knows my soul. You knit me together – only You can make me whole again. Won’t You help me?

Jesus, here’s my broken heart. I place it in Your hands. And when I try to take it back from You, help me to trust Your flawless plans – even when I don’t understand.

Jesus, here’s my broken heart. I place it in Your hands.

New Song: Place Your Faith In Me

I want to share a song with you that I just finished writing yesterday!  The end of the chorus, “Do not trust in what you see,” is a phrase that God keeps bringing to my mind lately. He is constantly working in our lives and the lives of people we are praying for…sometimes in ways that we can see and sometimes not. He asks us to keep trusting in Him and believing that (as Romans 8:28 says) He is working “all things together for good.”

Scroll down for the link, take a listen and as always, I would love to hear from you!

Here are the lyrics:

Verse 1: Looking at our problems with human eyes, we don’t always realize that God is a god of miracles, specializing in impossible.

When it seems like He is far away, when you can’t grasp why life’s working out this way –if we love and live for Him it’s understood:  He’s working all things for our good.

Chorus:  Amidst the chaos ringing loud and clear, God’s voice reminds us that we need not fear. When burdens on your heart are weighing, on your knees you’re praying, Can you hear Him saying? “Do not trust in what you see. My child, place your faith in me.”

Verse 2: Daniel was in a lion’s den. Gideon fought against stronger men. Sarah thought she was past her prime.  God came through just in time.

David was hiding inside a cave. Joseph’s brothers sold him as a slave. The thief felt defeated by his crime. God came through just in time.

Chorus: Amidst the chaos ringing loud and clear, God’s voice reminds us that we need not fear. When burdens on your heart are weighing, on your knees you’re praying, Can you hear Him saying? “Do not trust in what you see. My child, place your faith in me.”

Bridge: Since before we were born, we were called by His grace to pursue and reflect His beautiful face. So, remember when you don’t see the hands of God, You can always trust the plans of God.

Chorus:  Amidst the chaos ringing loud and clear, God’s voice reminds us that we need not fear. When burdens on your heart are weighing, on your knees you’re praying, Can you hear Him saying? “Do not trust in what you see. My child, place your faith in me.”
