Dear Jesus, I sure would love a reset.
There is no magic reset button, but please show me what I can do to sense Your renewal as I move forward.
Relationships with Others
First, help me focus on any issues I have with others.
Please reveal to me if I have been withholding forgiveness from anyone. Enable me to extend mercy to anyone who has hurt me, and then help me promptly release that pain to You. I am starting to realize that it is time to stop letting my bitterness block the freedom You want me to live in – the freedom that comes from You when I choose to forgive others. And, Jesus, help me to pray sincerely for those who have caused pain.
Please help me see others as You do and, therefore, understand better what they are going through. May my first thought be to lift them to You in prayer. Please help them recognize that You have had good plans for them since before they were born. Show me ways to help bring Your hope and encouragement to their lives.
Confess and Repent
My schedule has been hectic lately. I have been dealing with racing thoughts while striving to maintain a harmonious, peaceful tone in my household.
I’ve been running from one activity to the next, which has caused me to not be as present as I should be with my loved ones. Recently, my preoccupation with keeping my head above water caused me to avoid somebody because I felt I wouldn’t be a great conversationalist in this stressed state. Additionally, this weighed-down feeling has made my responses more abrupt and my mood easily frustrated while striving to maintain a harmonious, peaceful tone in my household. It is exhausting.
Jesus, have I mentioned that I sure would love a reset?
Please give me the desire to confess and turn away from treating anybody wrongly. Help me become more obedient and more like You.
You display Your compassion beautifully by being more than willing to provide new mercies every morning. Thank You for Your generosity in giving second chances.
Starting Each Day with the LORD
Enable me to start each day in Your presence. Help me draw closer to You, listen to Your voice closely, and boldly obey Your commands. Please show me daily what to prioritize and how to direct my time and energy. Jesus, reignite my faith in You and strengthen my desire to surrender to Your plan. Help me to consistently recognize Your heart for me.
I pray for Your wisdom, clarity, and grace to handle especially overwhelming circumstances. You have a perfect track record of guiding me through every problem I have ever faced. Help me remember that even if I don’t see You moving in my situation, I can still be confident that You are working all things together for good. And Jesus, please help me to completely trust Your definition of what is good.
Renew, Rejuvenate, Remind – Reset
There is no magic reset button, but I can depend upon You to renew my perspective, rejuvenate my mindset, and remind me how much You love me.
I pray this in the holy name of Jesus, Amen.
